The Jensen Phelan Law Firm is proud to announce that Chris Jensen has received the Jack L. Ogg community service award. Mr. Jensen has been committed to giving back to the Prescott community throughout his career, and he is honored to receive this prestigious award.
Mr. Jensen’s community service efforts have been quite comprehensive. He has performed pro bono legal services for a variety of charitable organizations, including:
In addition, he was the Editor in Chief and has authored many chapters of Arizona Personal Injury Lien Law and Practice. Mr. Jensen performed these services on a pro bono basis, and all proceeds from the publication were donated to the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Jensen worked on Law Day on behalf of the Yavapai County Bar Association with Community Legal Services. In 2011, he played an integral role in expanding Law Day from Prescott to Cottonwood and the entire Prescott Valley in order to better serve the entire Yavapai County community. Law Day is something Mr. Jensen values as an important gift of legal services to those in need.
While Mr. Jensen wasn’t involved in Law Day in 2015, he participated again in 2016 as a volunteer lawyer. When Community Legal Services announced plans to shut down Prescott Law Day in 2017, Mr. Jensen raised his objections and become heavily involved in the event that year. His efforts to revitalize Prescott Law Day resulted in 2017 being an extremely successful event, generating large numbers for both lawyer participation and pro bono client attendance. There were 105 people served at this event, representing a 200% increase over 2016.
Mr. Jensen’s history of involvement, organization and promotion of Law Day on behalf of the Yavapai County Bar Association his been a huge reason the event continues to be a success to this day. Countless individuals in the Prescott area lacking the funds for legal representation have benefitted from these efforts.
The entire team at the Jensen Phelan Law Firm has a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Mr. Jensen’s generous spirit, and we are thrilled that he has been honored for his ongoing efforts with the Prescott community.
